Boztepe
Boztepe is the first place that comes to mind when Ordu is mentioned. The hill, which offers its visitors the unique natural beauties of the Black Sea and Ordu from a bird’s eye view, is one of the most visited points of the city. Located at an altitude of 530 meters, Boztepe is also very rich in terms of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops.
Another feature of the region is that the city is a paragliding spot. Paragliding activity, which can be done in the company of professionals, takes 15 minutes. There is the possibility of exiting by private car and the cable car, which was put into service in 2011. Although it is easy to reach Boztepe, which is 8 km away from the city center, by private car, the cable car is a trip that takes place among lush trees, accompanied by the Black Sea view. When considering places to visit in Ordu, Boztepe is one of the must-see regions. At the same time, a very special place that offers a magnificent natural beauty under your feet is waiting for you.
Cambaşı Plateau
It is one of the most important plateaus of the Black Sea Region. The plateau has been declared a tourism region by the Ministry of Tourism. It has the title of being the largest plateau in Turkey with its 72 camps. It fascinates visitors with its unique nature. Picnic areas, accommodation facilities and restaurants serve on Çambaşı Plateau.
It is heavily visited by tourists in summer-winter. Winter Sports and Ski Center was opened in 2017.
Aybasti Persembe Plateau
Thursday Plateau is among the most beautiful plateaus of not only Ordu but also all of Turkey. It has been declared a Tourism Zone by the decision of the Council of Ministers.
Thursday Plateau, which is 17 km from Aybastı District of Ordu and 12 km from Akkuş District, was established at an altitude of 1500 meters. Wrestling competitions, horse races, social and cultural events, folklore shows and various competitions are held every year in July with the festivities.
Facilities such as resting, paragliding and safari are offered in green areas. In addition to its natural beauties, Persembe Plateau is home to many historical artifacts, especially cupolas.
Cape Jason
Cape Yason, which is among the touristic regions of Ordu, is suitable for both historical and nature tours. Cape Jason was among the centers of maritime trade in Antiquity.
In addition to its lush nature and tree-covered areas, the cape, which is a very old settlement, is a peninsula. The 4,000-year-old stone fish ponds in the region, the church named Jason’s Church, built in 1868, and the lighthouse at the tip of the cape are among the remarkable structures of the region. Jason’s Church is the only church built by the sea in the Black Sea Region.
Ulugol Nature Park
Ulugöl has the distinction of being the largest lake in Ordu. The lake was declared a nature park in 2009. Surrounded by alder, maple and hornbeam trees, the lake offers beautiful nature views every season. The region hosts festivals held in his name every year in July. The surroundings of Ulugöl are used as picnic and camping areas.
Caka Beach
Caka Beach, which is 10 minutes away from the Persembe District of Ordu, is among the most beautiful beaches not only of Ordu but also of the Black Sea. It is also known as the White Sand Beach due to its white sands. Çaka, with its clean sea, is the most popular beach preferred by both local people and tourists in summer. Many businesses operate around the beach.
You can reach the beach by minibuses departing from Ordu city center and Persembe District. For private transportation, the old beach road should be preferred.
